Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: IPTV Deck at 100% against SofaPlay's 25%. IPTV Deck also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly). SofaPlay's advantage is ratings volume (33 vs 2) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

IPTV Deck holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SofaPlay has 33 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. SofaPlay ships an update monthly, IPTV Deck every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
