Both are free to download. CampfireFM sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. 3sat asks for nothing beyond the download.
CampfireFM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of 3sat's written reviews are positive against 55% of CampfireFM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
3sat ships an update every 5 months, CampfireFM every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
