About

StringerPro

Features

StringerPro turns total rise and total run into a code-checked, ready-to-cut stair stringer layout. Built for finish carpenters, framers and deck builders who want one tool that does the stringer job properly, including the bottom step. KEY FEATURES - Fraction-native input. Feet, whole inches and a sixteenths picker that works the way a construction calculator does. Common stops (0, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4) are one tap. - IRC R311.7 code validation. Live green / amber / red badges for riser height (max 7-3/4"), tread depth (min 10"), riser variance, 2x12 throat (min 3-1/2"), comfort (rise plus tread), and pitch angle. - The bottom step handled correctly. The bottom riser is automatically shortened by the tread thickness so walking rises stay uniform once treads are installed, a common source of uneven steps. - Side-view diagram with every dimension labelled. A clean 2D elevation that prints legibly. - Framing-square cut sheet. Step-by-step heel positions along the top edge of the 2x12, with rise leg and run leg dimensions for every notch, plus the seat and plumb end cuts. - 1:1 print template. Tile the side view across letter pages at full scale, tape them together and trace straight onto the 2x12. Crop marks on every corner. - Material estimator. Enter stringer count, stair width and lumber prices; get linear footage and total job cost, fasteners included. - Saved jobs with job name, address and notes. - Deck stair mode, which marks the job as a deck stair on the summary sheet. Set deck-board tread stock and nosing on the inputs screen. - Imperial and metric, in light and dark appearance. - Works entirely offline. No account and no sign-in. - No ads and no tracking. The standard tier shows a small banner for our website service for trade businesses; Premium hides it. PREMIUM UNLOCK (one-time purchase, not a subscription) - Unlimited saved jobs - All three PDF exports: summary, cut sheet and 1:1 print template - Material estimator - Hides the website banner - Priority support DISCLAIMER Verify all measurements before cutting. Output is for estimation only. Local building codes vary. Contact: support@clearstackapps.com Privacy: https://clearstackapps.com/privacy
