The clearest difference is review sentiment: Brew Tracker at 88% against TeamViewer Remote Control's 45%. Brew Tracker also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.4). Both are free to download. TeamViewer Remote Control sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $619.99 per year. Brew Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.
TeamViewer Remote Control holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TeamViewer Remote Control has 45K ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of TeamViewer Remote Control's written reviews are positive against 88% of Brew Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TeamViewer Remote Control ships an update every 3 weeks, Brew Tracker every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
