The clearest difference is rating: E85 Stations USA at 4.7 against ALPConnect's 3.9. E85 Stations USA also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 15). Both are free to download. E85 Stations USA sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. ALPConnect asks for nothing beyond the download.
E85 Stations USA holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: E85 Stations USA has 2.4K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of ALPConnect's written reviews are positive against 46% of E85 Stations USA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ALPConnect ships an update every 4 months, E85 Stations USA every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
