Cook’s Memory is an application for people who like to cook and invite others to share their meals. It does three things: 1. It serves as an index or catalog for your favorite recipes. It stores information about the recipe and your experience with it, as well as where you can find it (in a cookbook, a card in a card-file, a paper copy, or even a web URL) so you can find it easily when you want it. 2. It serves a meal planner, whether just for you and your family or for a multitude. 3. It extends information stored about your guests. Besides their contact info, you can include information about food preferences, allergies, dietary restrictions, etc. When you define a guest list for a meal, Cook’s Memory uses this information to help you plan a meal your guests can eat and enjoy. What Cook’s Memory is NOT is an app for collecting and storing recipes. Becoause, seriously, who wants to spend the time and effort to type in your favorite recipes, particularly when they already exist somewhere else.
