Cube Synth is a groundbreaking new software instrument giving you the power and flexibility of additive synthesis together with easy editing and morphing capabilities. Macro parameters allow you to control this beast with unequalled ease. Intelligent sound morphing capabilities enables you to easily create complex evolving sound scapes, vocal phrases or stunning rhythms simply by choosing up to four sound sources from a predefined set. Then add one of the predefined envelopes and a unique, complex sound preset containing thousands of parameters is created! Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Cube Synth at $1.99 against Compás Builder's $24.99. Cube Synth also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (89% vs 67%). Compás Builder's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On ads, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Cube Synth costs $1.99 and Compás Builder $24.99 up front. Compás Builder sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Cube Synth asks for nothing beyond the download.
Compás Builder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cube Synth has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Cube Synth's written reviews are positive against 67% of Compás Builder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Cube Synth ships an update every 4 months, Compás Builder every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
