In cooperation with the European association of automotive suppliers (CLEPA), TecCom as brand of the TecAlliance GmbH has developed TecIdentify, the first IT-based standard solution for the automotive branch to check whether parts are genuine. Each product is labelled with an identification number, unique in the world, in the form of a Data Matrix bar-code – the so called MAPP code. With the TecIdentify you can scan the MAPP code on your article and immediately check its authenticity. So you can make sure that your article is genuine – worldwide, 24 hours a day. MAPP stands for Manufacturers against Product Piracy (www.mapp-code.com). The MAPP code was devel-oped in cooperation with the European association of automotive suppliers (CLEPA) and is defined as the standard code for the automotive aftermarket.
