The Pursuit is meer dan een outdoorgame. Het is een high-tech outdoorgame. Runners en Chasers maken gebruik van een speciaal ontwikkelde app om het spel te spelen. Chasers krijgen hiermee hulp om Runners te vinden en Runners kunnen hiermee hun route bepalen. Maar er is meer: Bepaal je eigen strategie en help jezelf door power-ups slim in te zetten: stuur Chasers de verkeerde kant op, verdien punten over de rug van anderen of verkrijg meer inzicht in de locaties van de Runners, zodat je gerichter kan zoeken. Kortom: help jezelf en maak het je tegenstanders moeilijk.
