SnapshotBooks turns a book into a mind map you can tap through — the essentials distilled, the structure put back together. Each book is broken into branches, each card into one idea, with a short quote you can check against the original book and the chapter it came from. Not a summary written from memory. Every line has a source. How it works ・Pick a book from the shelf and see the whole structure at once ・Tap any card to open the idea and its quote ・Tags on each card jump to related cards ・Search one word and get matches from inside the cards, across every book ・Save any line as an image — the source and link are printed on it ・Keep the books you like on your own shelf What's inside Investing & trading, business & finance, business biographies, personal growth, literature & fiction, history & humanities. 62 books and counting. Home screen widget A line from a book, right on your home screen, in the language you read in. It changes itself every 15 minutes, or tap to pull the next one. Tap the card to open it in the app. Medium and small sizes. Four languages English, Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese. The app opens in your phone's language, and you can switch anytime from the globe icon at the top. The quotes in the English edition are translated from the Chinese text, and each card says so. Why we built it So the books you have already read stay easy to come back to. These are the ones CompoundWater learned the most from — we hope they do something for you too. No account needed to read everything. Sign in only if you want your saved books to follow you. The in-app tip is entirely optional and unlocks nothing.
