Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Steel Scoring at none against CAS Scoring's 5. Steel Scoring also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). CAS Scoring's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CAS Scoring sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per month. Steel Scoring asks for nothing beyond the download.
Steel Scoring holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Steel Scoring's written reviews are positive against 100% of CAS Scoring's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
