Warden Tycoon is a strategic prison management simulator where every decision affects security, rehabilitation, morale, finances and your reputation with the state. Take charge of a growing correctional facility and survive one day at a time. Hire staff, manage inmates, expand your prison and decide where every dollar should go. Keep the institution stable without losing sight of rehabilitation—or your budget. FEATURES • Manage prisoners with different crimes, risk levels, needs and rehabilitation progress • Hire and develop guards, doctors, psychologists, teachers, counselors and more • Build and maintain cell blocks, workshops, libraries, infirmaries, yards and other facilities • Set food, maintenance, service, pay and working-condition policies • Issue daily Warden Orders to respond to changing conditions • Handle branching events including riots, contraband, audits, gangs, media pressure and emergencies • Balance security, cleanliness, staff morale, prisoner morale, capacity and cash flow • Face state reviews that score your performance and affect funding and reputation • Choose different prison scenarios with unique starting conditions • Earn Legacy Points, unlock permanent perks and carry progress into future terms • Track lifetime records and achievements across your career There is no single perfect strategy. Fill every bed and you may overwhelm your staff. Cut costs too hard and conditions can collapse. Spend heavily on rehabilitation and you may create long-term success—but only if the prison stays secure and solvent. Can you build a prison that survives the pressure, passes inspection and leaves behind a lasting Warden Legacy?

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Tiny Prison at 4.5 against Warden Tycoon's 3.7. Tiny Prison also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (4.2K vs 3). Warden Tycoon's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 82%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tiny Prison sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Warden Tycoon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Tiny Prison holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tiny Prison has 4.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Tiny Prison's written reviews are positive against 100% of Warden Tycoon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
