Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Polluted Area at 5.0 against Biotix's 4.3. Polluted Area also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 9 months) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). Biotix's advantage is ratings volume (467 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
