Hatch Now
Read full descriptionHide full description
HatchNow reads the water for you. Enter any fishing spot, and HatchNow immediately tells you which insect is most likely hatching right now — and exactly which fly to tie on. Water temperature, air temperature, cloud cover, wind and the time of day are weighed together to give you one clear, confident recommendation. HATCH FORECAST Ten species tracked: Baetis (BWO), Caddis, Midge, March Brown, Sulphur, Stonefly, Mayfly, Ant, Beetle and Sedge. For each, you get the predicted status (Hatching Now, Starting Soon, Possible), the best fly pattern with hook size, the likely peak time, and a plain-language explanation of why the conditions point that way. FORECAST TIMELINE Scroll forward through the day and see how the hatch picture shifts hour by hour — so you can plan exactly when to be on the water. INSECT IDENTIFICATION Photograph an insect on the stream bank or in your hand. The on-device ML model identifies the species and immediately suggests a matching fly pattern and hook size. AI FISHING GUIDE (subscription) Ask the guide anything. What fly do I start with? When does the evening rise begin? What's the best approach for this cloud cover? The guide knows your location, the current weather, and the latest hatch forecast — so every answer is grounded in what's actually happening on your water right now. QUIET HATCH MONITORING Setting up on a pool and don't want to keep checking the app? Start a 15, 30 or 60-minute monitoring window and get a quiet push notification if a hatch begins during your session. You'll get at most two calm alerts — then it stops. COMMUNITY REPORTS See what other anglers are observing on the water near you. Add your own sightings — insect, stage, notes — and contribute to a shared picture of what's hatching across your region. SAVED SPOTS Build a private library of your fishing spots. Your exact coordinates never leave your device. Save a favourite fly for each spot so you always remember what worked. DESIGNED FOR THE RIVERBANK HatchNow is built for one-hand use at the water's edge. Large text, a calm heritage colour palette and clear illustrations — no clutter, no subscriptions required for the core forecast. Privacy: Community reports use a randomised anonymous ID. Your saved spots and field notes stay on your device only. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
