Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pack 4 at none against Hidden Express's 12. Pack 4 also leads on review sentiment (97% vs 69%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Hidden Express's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hidden Express sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Pack 4 asks for nothing beyond the download.
Hidden Express holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hidden Express has 385 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Hidden Express's written reviews are positive against 97% of Pack 4's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Hidden Express ships an update every 5 weeks, Pack 4 every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
