NMR Tutor is an interactive introduction to NMR data acquisition and signal processing. Use simulated free induction decays (FIDs) and spectra to explore how time-domain NMR signals become frequency-domain spectra. Adjust peak positions, decay, noise, apodization, zero filling, phase behavior, and common acquisition artifacts, then see the effect immediately in the FID and final spectrum. The app displays real and imaginary FID channels before and after processing, together with the resulting spectrum after Fourier transformation. A live signal-to-noise (S/N) measurement updates as you adjust noise, scan averaging, apodization, FID artifacts, and shimming, making processing tradeoffs easy to compare. Apply zero filling to see how digital interpolation changes the appearance of the spectrum without adding new measured data. You can also introduce common receiver or acquisition faults into the FID and observe the artifacts that appear after processing. As an advanced example, add spin-spin coupling to create an AB coupling pattern, then move the peaks or change the coupling strength to compare AB behavior with an AX spin system. Charts retain every data point and support pan, zoom, phase-pivot dragging, graph audio, sharing and export, and external displays. Optimized Metal and Accelerate processing keeps high-resolution chart and shimming interactions responsive. Adaptive layouts and larger accessibility text make the workspace easier to use on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Open one-dimensional JEOL, Bruker and Varian FID datasets directly. Inspect the acquired real and imaginary channels, then apply apodization, zero filling, first-point scaling, and zero- and first-order phase correction to your own data.

Calculus you can see is calculus you can learn. Calculus: Learn & Practice turns a full first-year calculus course into one clear path: build intuition with an interactive animation, follow a worked example step by step, then prove to yourself you've got it with instantly graded practice. WHAT'S INSIDE • 51 interactive concept animations — play, scrub and watch the key change happen instead of imagining it • 119 worked examples with complete solutions, visual hints and the mistakes students usually make • 428 practice problems graded the moment you submit, each with a full solution • Math-history stories with the original problems: Zeno's paradoxes, Archimedes' π, Fermat and Descartes' fight over tangents • Mistake tracking and mastery per concept, so you know exactly what to review • Spaced review that brings a topic back right before you'd forget it • A searchable library of 9 chapters, filterable by topic, tag and difficulty TOPICS COVERED • Limits and continuity • Derivatives and differentials • Applications of derivatives — optimization, related rates, MVT, curve sketching, L'Hôpital's rule, Taylor polynomials • Integrals — FTC, substitution, integration by parts, partial fractions, improper integrals • Applications of integration — area, volume, arc length, work • Differential equations • Infinite series — convergence tests, power series, Taylor series • Multivariable differential calculus — partial derivatives, gradient, tangent planes, Lagrange multipliers • Multiple integrals — double and triple integrals Great for Calculus I and II, AP Calculus AB/BC review, and exam prep. Not covered, so you can decide before you buy: vector calculus (line and surface integrals). TRY IT FIRST Chapter 1 is completely free — animations, examples and practice all work, no time limit and no account. If you like it, one purchase unlocks every chapter forever. No subscription, no ads. Buy once, use on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Your progress stays on your device. Purchases are handled securely by Apple and can be restored anytime. Every lesson, example and problem is available in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi and Chinese. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: NMR Tutor at none against Calculus's 1. Calculus's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Calculus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. NMR Tutor asks for nothing beyond the download.
NMR Tutor ships an update fortnightly, Calculus weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
