This digital Pāli-Khmer dictionary contains all the original contents of the Dhamma Pada Dictionary of Contemporary Khmer compiled by Preahgrūsirisobhana Kim Tor, first published in 1950. The Pali-Khmer Dictionary of Contemporary Khmer is the result of the work of team being initiated, leaded and sponsored by H.E DR. PEN SOPHAL,Secretary of State of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction with the assistance from professor Kong Samoeun,Ms. Vā sorāthan, Mr. Chan Sokun, Mr.Aong Sothearith and Mr. Ly Sovann,Mr. Sang Bota and others. All rights reserved. The Pāli-Khmer Dictionary of Contemporary Khmer is registered according to the relevant law. Therefore, any copying of all or part of it for any purposes or tampering with this work is considered illegal. Purpose Since the Pali-Khmer Dictionary is not yet abundant, We want to contribute to the richness of the Pali-Khmer dictionary full of more and more new words, and because the Pali language is constantly containing in tipitaka, commentary and sub-commentary, we want to use all the strength, wisdom, and knowledge we have to value the new shoots and buds of Pali language as much as we can, but regarding the orthography, we respect the orthography of the dictionary of Preahgrūsirisobhana Kim Tor by carefully considering and resuming the pattern according to this orthography to register the new words as well. We want Cambodia to have a wide range of small and large Pali-Dictionaries to meet different needs, as is the case in Buddhist Countries like Sri Lanka and Burma, Where there are dictionaries for high school students, university students, the ordinary public, and the highly educated public, all of whom need to verify the meaning of hundreds of thousands of words ( both simple words and a lot of deep words ) for each skill.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pali at 100% against Khmer Keys's 40%. Pali also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). Khmer Keys's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
