All other musicians in the ensemble relate the timing of their parts to the gankogui rhythm. Gankogui is the West African ancestor of Afro-Caribbean clave. The Gankogui app offers users a library of Ghanaian timeline rhythms with authentic sound samples and flexible-tempo playback. Learners and practitioners of West African drum and dance music can use Gankogui as a powerful practice tool. Musicians and researchers can utilize the broad library of timeline rhythms to expand their knowledge of West African rhythm. Instrumentalists from all backgrounds can use Gankogui as a more exciting, advanced, and musically pleasing alternative to a standard metronome. Reflecting the origins of these traditional bell patterns, the app is organized into two categories: Asante and Ewe. Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Gankogui Lite at 100% against Windy's 52%. Gankogui Lite also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). Windy's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 4) and iOS requirement (11.3 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
