Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: i大工 at none against XuetangX's 10. i大工 also leads on review sentiment (88% vs 57%). XuetangX's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (292 vs 16). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. XuetangX sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. i大工 asks for nothing beyond the download.
XuetangX holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XuetangX has 292 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of i大工's written reviews are positive against 57% of XuetangX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
i大工 ships an update every 3 months, XuetangX every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
