Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: Fontcase at Free against AnyFont's $1.99. Fontcase also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). AnyFont's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.9) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 24 months). On device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

AnyFont holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AnyFont has 26K ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of AnyFont's written reviews are positive against 51% of Fontcase's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

AnyFont ships an update every 2 months, Fontcase every 24 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
