Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bracket Tracker at none against Tourney's 7. Bracket Tracker also leads on review sentiment (69% vs 53%). Tourney's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 12 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Tourney holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tourney has 464 ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Bracket Tracker's written reviews are positive against 53% of Tourney's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Bracket Tracker ships an update every 12 months, Tourney every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
