AppHearing picks up the sound around you with your iPhone's microphone, cleans it up with noise reduction, EQ and dynamic compression, and plays it through your headphones in real time: soft sounds get louder, loud sounds stay comfortable, and voices and TV come through more clearly. When you'd rather read than strain to hear, turn on live captions. HEAR MORE CLEARLY • Real-time amplification with low latency, shown on screen while you listen • Three levels of noise reduction, including a deep-learning mode for busy places • Scenes for Quiet Room, Restaurant, Outdoors and TV — or save your own • 16-band EQ with −24 dB to +24 dB per band, so you can lift just the pitches you miss • A soft-sound boost to bring out quiet voices • Conversation Mode uses the back microphone to focus on the person you're facing TUNED TO YOUR EARS • A short hearing check plays tones at six pitches for each ear • Hearing Compensation then boosts the pitches you hear less well, giving soft sounds more lift and loud sounds less • Settings can be remembered for each pair of headphones READ WHAT PEOPLE SAY • Live captions turn speech into text while you listen • Recognition runs on your iPhone in the language of your device NEVER MISS IMPORTANT SOUNDS • Alerts for smoke alarms, sirens, the doorbell, knocking, a crying baby and ringing phones • Vibration and a banner in the app, or a notification when it's in the background EASY FOR EVERYONE • Simple Mode shows just a big volume control and the scene • "Can't Hear Anything?" checks the microphone, headphones and volume for you • Start and stop with Siri, Shortcuts or Control Center, and see status in a Live Activity • Supports Dynamic Type and VoiceOver RECORD AND EDIT • Record while you listen and play conversations, lectures and talks back later • Adjust playback speed, pitch, reverb and EQ • Trim, split and join recordings, change the volume and save as a new file PRIVACY Sound is processed on your iPhone. Your audio and captions are not uploaded. AppHearing is not a medical device and does not replace a hearing aid fitted by a doctor or a professional hearing test. Use headphones, and start with a low volume.
