Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dippy Chick at 100% against hyperPad Hub's 53%. Dippy Chick also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). hyperPad Hub's advantage is rating (3.6 vs 2.3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
hyperPad Hub holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: hyperPad Hub has 115 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Dippy Chick's written reviews are positive against 53% of hyperPad Hub's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Dippy Chick ships an update every 12 months, hyperPad Hub every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
