Both are free to download. Nuri Casting sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $69.99 per year. HOT Remote asks for nothing beyond the download.
Nuri Casting holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HOT Remote has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of HOT Remote's written reviews are positive against 0% of Nuri Casting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
HOT Remote ships an update every 11 months, Nuri Casting every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and June 23, 2026 respectively.
