Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: L.A. Rapid Scan at 5.0 against Late Model's 3.6. L.A. Rapid Scan also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Late Model's advantage is ratings volume (34 vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
