Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Diagnosaurus® DDx at 4.8 against Bullets*'s 4.0. Diagnosaurus® DDx also leads on ratings volume (2.5K vs 62). Bullets*'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 10 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Diagnosaurus® DDx sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Bullets* asks for nothing beyond the download.
Diagnosaurus® DDx holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diagnosaurus® DDx has 2.5K ratings behind it against 62, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Diagnosaurus® DDx's written reviews are positive against 68% of Bullets*'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Diagnosaurus® DDx ships an update every 10 months, Bullets* every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
