Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Medweb MedConsult at free against FP Notebook's subscription. Medweb MedConsult also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). FP Notebook's advantage is ratings volume (3.3K vs 5) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FP Notebook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Medweb MedConsult sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for FP Notebook against 5.0 for Medweb MedConsult. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FP Notebook has 3.3K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.
FP Notebook ships an update every 2 months, Medweb MedConsult every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
