Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: CCtalk at 2.8 against 掌门好老师's 2.1. CCtalk also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (115 vs 8). 掌门好老师's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. CCtalk sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. 掌门好老师 asks for nothing beyond the download.
CCtalk holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CCtalk has 115 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of CCtalk's written reviews are positive against 67% of 掌门好老师's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
CCtalk ships an update every 3 weeks, 掌门好老师 every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
