The cave that started it all is back — and for the first time, you can see it and hear it. Before the dungeon crawlers. Before the choose-your-path novels. Before nearly every game that ever asked "what do you do next?", there was one cave and a single line on a screen: "You are standing at the end of a road before a small brick building." In 1976, Colossal Cave Adventure by Will Crowther and Don Woods invented the text adventure and lit the fuse for interactive fiction, role-playing, and the whole adventure genre. This is the game that inspired Zork and Infocom's classics. Adventure: Reawakened is that original game, faithfully rebuilt for iPhone and iPad — true to the last room, treasure, and creature, and finally brought to life with hand-painted art and a storyteller's voice. TWO WAYS TO PLAY — PURIST OR NEWCOMER - Type the classic commands. Open the terminal and enter GET LAMP, GO NORTH, XYZZY — the real parser, exactly as it was in 1976. - Or tap and swipe. Tap an object to pick it up, swipe or use the brass compass to move. No manual required. - Listen or read. Every room and every reply is narrated in a rich, theatrical voice — or play in silence and read at your own pace. WHAT'S INSIDE - The complete 350-point classic: all 15 treasures to carry home, every twisty passage, and the long climb back to daylight. - Hand-painted artwork for every room, from sunlit forest to lantern-lit depths. - The creatures and puzzles you remember: the bird and the snake, the dragon, the troll's bridge, the bear, the giant's beanstalk, the pirate and his chest — and a few surprises. - A cave that grows darker the deeper you go, so your lamp truly matters. NO NONSENSE - No ads. No loot boxes. No subscription. No tracking. No account. - Free to explore the opening. One single purchase unlocks the entire game forever. Whether you cut your teeth on interactive fiction decades ago or have never typed a command in your life, this is where it all began. Xyzzy ## What's New (version notes for 1.0) Welcome to the cave. This first release brings the complete classic adventure to iPhone with hand-painted rooms, full spoken narration, tap-and-swipe controls, and the original typed commands for purists. Free to start; unlock the full game with one purchase.
