Prysmian Group’s Voltage Drop Calculator is a quick and easy tool to find Maximum Circuit Distance and Minimum Conductor Size for the required voltage drop. It is designed for contractors, electricians, and other electrical professionals. The minimum conductor size section will show the required conductor size, actual voltage loss, maximum allowable voltage loss, and maximum amps for the conductor. The amperage values are from the NEC® table T310.15 (B) (16) 75°C rating. Conductor sizes are determined based on the amperage value provided by the user and not the expected loads which in some scenarios may result in a larger conductor size. The Maximum Circuit Distance section shows maximum circuit distance, allowable voltage loss, actual voltage loss, and maximum amps of the selected conductor. Code Selection for NEC® 2011, 2014, and 2017. Metric or standard conductors

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Prysmian Group Voltage Drop at none against Electrical Calculations's 3. Prysmian Group Voltage Drop also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Electrical Calculations's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months) and review sentiment (87% vs 60%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Electrical Calculations sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 3 months. Prysmian Group Voltage Drop asks for nothing beyond the download.
Prysmian Group Voltage Drop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Electrical Calculations has 129 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Prysmian Group Voltage Drop's written reviews are positive against 87% of Electrical Calculations's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Prysmian Group Voltage Drop ships an update every 7 months, Electrical Calculations every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
