Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: NextApp at 5.0 against Apply's 4.2. NextApp also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 69%). Apply's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 95 months) and ratings volume (319 vs 4). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NextApp sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Apply sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
NextApp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Apply has 319 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of NextApp's written reviews are positive against 69% of Apply's.
NextApp ships an update every 95 months, Apply every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
