Chess beyond one board. Four connected boards. One shared game. Discover a spatial chess variant where familiar pieces move through four dimensions, and a new perspective can reveal your next idea. LEARN BY MAKING A MOVE Start with a simple rook move. Watch a demonstration, try it yourself, and build your understanding one step at a time. Guided lessons introduce coordinates, connected spaces, and moves beyond a single board. SEE YOUR MOVE IN CONTEXT Turn on Move Helper to preview a move before you commit. Explore a possible opponent reply and follow the attacker and its target in 2D, 3D, or a 4D projection. A preview is one possibility, not a guarantee of the best move. ONE POSITION. THREE PERSPECTIVES. Read the flat boards, explore the 3D view, or rotate the 4D projection. Zoom in on one board, keep nearby spaces in view, or compare two planes. On iPad, use the flat and spatial views side by side, with move history and context close at hand. START SMALL. EXPLORE MORE. Begin with eight pieces per side. Try the compact ten-piece opening, or a full sixteen-piece army with more room to develop on 96 squares. Explore the experimental four-space 8×8 board with 256 squares. Short challenges give you a clear goal: save a piece, find a fork, or earn a promotion. PLAY OFFLINE Play against an on-device computer opponent with three difficulty levels, or take turns with a friend on the same device. Choose an untimed game or add a clock. No account is needed. MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME Create an optional private profile with Apple, Google, or guest sign-in. Choose a display name and chess avatar; profile sync uses your app account and private iCloud storage. All gameplay and learning remain available without signing in. Return to saved games, review your moves, and follow your learning progress. Choose Light, Dark, or System appearance. Designed for iPhone and iPad. Available in English, Ukrainian, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. 4D Chess: New Dimension is a custom spatial chess variant. The compact board has 64 squares; the full-army board has 96; the experimental expanded board has 256. Each uses four connected planes, one position, and one turn at a time.
