EkiTime is a pomodoro-style focus timer that turns your focus sessions into Shinkansen journeys across Japan. Pick your departure station, choose a destination that matches how long you want to focus, punch your ticket through the gate, and depart. While the train runs, you focus. When you arrive, a station stamp is pressed into your notebook — your focus history becomes a travel log of stations visited, distance covered, and time focused. FEATURES • Buy a ticket and pass the gate — a small ritual to start focusing • Your train actually runs along Japan's real Shinkansen network • Authentic in-train departure boards (4 selectable styles) • Live Activity: check remaining time on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island • Home Screen widget — departure board while riding, your ticket while idle • Door Lock: temporarily restrict apps you choose during a ride (Screen Time) • Station stamp notebook with ekiben (station bento) collection • Focus reports styled after real Japanese railway tickets and timetables PRIVACY • No account required • All records stay on your device — nothing is sent to servers • Location is used only on-device to suggest your nearest station So—how far will you ride today?

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Wi at none against EkiTime's shown. Wi also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.4). EkiTime's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 months). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
