About

Hecate Admin

Features

Hecate Admin is the authoring authority for Hecate, the profile-driven capture system. Where the capture app is strictly read-only — it follows whatever a profile describes — Admin is where those profiles are created, validated, versioned, published and retired. A profile is the configurable workflow of scans, fields and validation rules that tells the capture app what an object is and how to record it. Admin is where that workflow is written and governed, then published to the MQTT broker you configure as a retained message, so every device converges on the current set. AUTHOR WITH CONFIDENCE Build a profile field by field — scans, typed fields, validation — with a guided, block-by-block wizard. Validate before you publish so devices never receive a broken workflow. VERSION AND RETIRE Every publish is versioned. Supersede a profile with a new version, or retire one cleanly — the broker's retained state stays the single source of truth. PROVISION BY QR Hand a device its broker connection and profiles by scanning a provisioning QR code — no manual typing, no secrets in the clear. The broker password goes straight into the device Keychain. THE ONLY THING YOU NEED IS AN MQTT BROKER No developer backend, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Everything flows through the broker you own and operate. Made for iPhone and iPad — one universal app. Localized in English, German, French and Spanish. Part of the Hecate family, alongside Hecate (capture) and Hecate Viewer. SUBSCRIPTION (OPTIONAL) Hecate Admin Pro lifts the free-tier quantity limits — unlimited saved profiles, unlimited active published profiles, several broker configurations. It is an auto-renewable subscription, offered monthly or yearly and billed to your Apple account. It renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends; you manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings. The free tier never expires. Should this project end, we will say so, stop selling new subscriptions and let running ones expire — your data stays on your own broker.
