About

Loopline London

Features

Loopline is a free London explorer for your trip: 575 hand-picked places with a local tip, hidden gems, and what is open right now near you. Routes show the real Transport for London fare, never a guess. Free, no ads, no tracking, and you can use it without an account. HAND-PICKED PLACES 575 places across London, each chosen by a person, not an algorithm: museums, markets, parks, cafes, pubs, viewpoints, live music and plenty of hidden gems. Every place has a practical tip, almost all have an interesting fact, and most have a photo with its credit shown. FIND IT Nothing clutters the map until you ask. Tap Find It, choose how far you are happy to walk, and see what is worth a look nearby. Keep it to the hand-picked places, or include everything Apple Maps knows around you. RIGHT NOW Find It shows what is open near you, by time of day and weather. Open now is a switch in All places, and opening hours show where we have them. REAL FARES Pick a place and Loopline plans the journey with Transport for London's own journey planner, then shows the pay-as-you-go fare for it, with the daily cap taken into account across your day. Compare the Underground, Overground, Elizabeth line, DLR, bus, tram, National Rail and walking for the same trip, and ask for step-free routes. If Transport for London gives no fare for a journey, none is shown: the app never guesses. ONE PLAN FOR THE DAY Add the stops you like in any order, set how long to stay at each one, see when you arrive and what each leg costs. Each leg also lists hand-picked places close to its route, so a good stop can fit between two others. Share your day as a link: friends see your stops, times and fares and can add the plan to their own Today. When you are ready to set off, open each leg in Apple Maps or Google Maps. YOUR IMPACT Sign in and the app keeps running totals of money saved, CO2 avoided and steps, and you can tap each one to see it day by day. It counts only trips it could confirm with your location. Nobody else sees your numbers, and there are no leaderboards. LOCK SCREEN, DYNAMIC ISLAND, WIDGETS AND SIRI Your next stop and Find It's nearby count can sit on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and you can switch that off in Profile. Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen show your next stop, today's plan, places near you, your impact and live line status. Find It is also a control for Control Center and the Action button. Ask Siri to "find it in Loopline" or to "navigate to" a place in Loopline. LONDON PASSPORT Earn badges for the places you visit: coins for milestones and kinds of place, and 30 Famous London landmarks with three gold levels. Visits can be recorded automatically while Loopline is open or a route is running. Your Passport stays on your phone. TUBE, RAIL AND BUS STOPS In Find It, choose a distance and see the nearest stations and bus stops. Tap a station to see its lines and where each one goes. APPLE WATCH Your next stop and today's plan, on your wrist. AND MORE French, German, Spanish and Dutch, chosen inside the app under Profile > Language. A music line on place pages says what clubs, pubs and live venues play. PRIVACY, IN PLAIN WORDS Free. No ads, no tracking, and nothing is sold. The app counts a few things anonymously, such as how often Find It is used, with nothing that identifies you and nothing about where you are, and you can switch that off in Profile. The map, routes and Today work without an account. Sign in with Apple or Google only if you want your days kept, your impact saved or to share a plan as a link, and you can delete your account inside the app. Your location is used only while the app is open, and no history of where you have been is kept. MADE FOR LONDON The map stays on London. Made by one independent developer. Loopline is not affiliated with or endorsed by Transport for London or Apple. Journeys, fares and stops use TfL Open Data. Loopline was called A Reason to Stop until October 2026.
