Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: LocusCast at Free against Pixel Music's $5.99. LocusCast also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). Pixel Music's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and update cadence (every 8 months vs every 17 months). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
