Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Nikola Tesla AR at 85% against Physics Lab AR's 48%. Nikola Tesla AR also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). Physics Lab AR's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (1.9K vs 16). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Physics Lab AR sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Nikola Tesla AR asks for nothing beyond the download.
Physics Lab AR holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Physics Lab AR has 1.9K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Nikola Tesla AR's written reviews are positive against 48% of Physics Lab AR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Nikola Tesla AR ships an update every 4 months, Physics Lab AR every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
