Both are free to download. Derp Frog sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. The Singing Frogs asks for nothing beyond the download.
Derp Frog holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Derp Frog has 82 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Derp Frog's written reviews are positive against 100% of The Singing Frogs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Derp Frog ships an update every 5 weeks, The Singing Frogs every 36 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
