Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Schedule Planner at 4.9 against ParkerPlanner's 4.1. Schedule Planner also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). ParkerPlanner's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 65%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. ParkerPlanner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Schedule Planner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Schedule Planner holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 34 and 47 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of ParkerPlanner's written reviews are positive against 65% of Schedule Planner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

ParkerPlanner ships an update every 6 weeks, Schedule Planner every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
