About

TradeBook

Know what every job made, before it's finished. TradeBook is built for tradies, contractors and small trade businesses in Australia and the United States: the ones doing the books at the kitchen table on a Sunday night. Photograph a receipt at the counter and it's costed against the job before you're back in the ute. Quote the work, invoice it from the same job, and see what every job actually made. WHAT IT DOES Receipts — Photograph a receipt or docket and TradeBook reads the merchant, date, total, tax and line items. Anything it gets wrong, you correct by hand in seconds. Job costing — Every receipt lands against a job, so you can see spend against budget while the job is still running, not after it's lost money. Quotes and invoices — Quote the work from the job, then raise the invoice from the same place. Send it as a PDF from your phone, and mark it paid when the money lands. Scheduling — Book jobs in and get a reminder before you're due on site. Keep the client's number on the job: one tap rings them, one tap texts them you're on the way. Hours — Log the day against a job and send a week's timesheet as a PDF. Photos — Before, after and issue shots kept with the job, for when a client remembers it differently. Exports — Everything out as CSV whenever you want, with Xero account codes if you use them. BUILT FOR THE JOB SITE One-handed. Big targets for gloved hands. Readable in direct sunlight. Face ID for the phone that lives on the dash, and it locks itself again when you put it down. IN AUSTRALIA: YOUR BAS, ALREADY DONE At the end of the quarter your BAS figures are already sitting there: G1, GST collected, GST paid, and what you owe, worked out on a cash basis from invoices you've actually been paid for. See what came from general expenses and what came from tools and equipment, claim only the business share of something used partly at home, and export a worksheet as PDF or CSV for your accountant. Not registered for GST yet? A rolling tracker shows where you stand against the $75,000 threshold. GST at 10%. Your ABN on your invoices. BSB and account number for payment. BAS reporting follows the ATO's Simpler BAS. Everything in Australian dollars. IN THE UNITED STATES US dollars and US date formats throughout, and your license number on your invoices. TradeBook doesn't lodge or file anything with the ATO or the IRS and isn't tax advice. Check the figures against your bank statements before you lodge or file. SUBSCRIPTION 14-day free trial, then TradeBook Sole Trader at A$14.99 per month or A$149.99 per year in Australia, or US$9.99 per month or US$99.99 per year in the United States. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
