Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Keep On Line at every 3 weeks against MX Engines's every 16 months. MX Engines's advantage is ratings volume (360 vs 55) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Keep On Line sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and MX Engines sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for Keep On Line against 3.8 for MX Engines. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MX Engines has 360 ratings behind it against 55, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Keep On Line's written reviews are positive against 74% of MX Engines's.
Keep On Line ships an update every 3 weeks, MX Engines every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
