Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is ads: MUJO at none against Close Cities's shown. MUJO also leads on review sentiment (82% vs 69%) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). Close Cities's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Close Cities holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 140 and 361 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of MUJO's written reviews are positive against 69% of Close Cities's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

MUJO ships an update fortnightly, Close Cities every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
