NPP Near lists the world's nuclear power plants in order of distance from where you are. It covers 428 sites in 54 countries and regions. NEAREST FIRST Open the app and the closest sites appear at the top. Switch distances between kilometers and miles, or set the reference position anywhere on the map — no location access required. SEE THE DISTANCE ON A MAP Pick a site to see a map that frames both you and the plant. Draw a ring around the site in one of four radius sizes to get a sense of the surrounding area. Switch to Plant view for a close-up satellite image of the facility. STATUS BY UNIT See whether each site and each reactor unit is operating, offline, under construction, or being decommissioned. Units stopped for refueling or maintenance are shown as offline. Tap Operating to show only sites that are generating power. SEARCH AND SHARE Search by site or country name. Share a site with other apps or open it in Maps. BUILT FOR IPHONE DUO AND IPAD On large screens, the list and the map appear side by side. On iPhone Duo, the layout switches automatically: two panes when unfolded, one when folded. Site locations and operating status are approximate and provided for reference only.
