Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Units at none against Convert's shown. Units also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). Convert's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 45%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Convert sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 6 months and Units sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Units holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 126 and 262 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Convert's written reviews are positive against 45% of Units's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Convert ships an update every 3 months, Units every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
