Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Borrow at 4.3 against Mylia's 3.0. Borrow also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (12 vs 2). Mylia's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Borrow sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Mylia sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Borrow holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Borrow has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Borrow's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mylia's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Borrow ships an update every 3 weeks, Mylia every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
