GliderVerb is a “Reverberator with Glissandos” simulating a room gradually changing its shape. It is an expanded version of an algorithm created by James McCartney for his Supercollider 2 programming language. The original algorithm had no user-variable parameters: this device adds a series of parameters to create a wide palette of effects; from evolving reverberations to granular disintegration to smooth resonances. Main Features: - Audiobus and Inter-App Audio support (sender and FX) - Continually Modulated Reverb Algorithm - Pitch Resonator - Ribbon Resonance Player - Pad impulse generator - Built In Stereo Sampler with varispeed - Control Manager LFO for Parameters - Midibus, Virtual Midi and Network: 14 bit NRPN controllers - File Manager, sharing common audio files via iTunes, Dropbox and AudioCopy - Snapshots Presets Morphing Pad - Post Fx Chain: Low-shelf Filter, High-shelf and Compressor New Version! We removed the "annoying voice" and now you can use all the Gliderverb features, even the Pad and the Ribbon. The only limitation is you can't save new presets; but you still can load the old ones you made, using the two arrows you find on the left and right side of the preset name (top side of the main window). With the in-App purchase you can access the Preset Manager, Control Manager and MIDI enable the Pad.
Soloist Singing
Read full descriptionHide full description
Soloist Singing is a private pitch coach built for your voice. Sing a note and see a live pitch trace against a target contour. If the microphone, headset, or room is unreliable, Soloist says so instead of handing you a wrong verdict. Start with the honest vocal range test and share card, live pitch monitor, mic check, pitch-matching drills, interval warmups, eight starter lessons, and eight public-domain or original songs. Your measured range fits practice melodies and warmups to the voice you actually have. Continue with scale runs, agility, sustain, vibrato, breath and onset, register blending, a 24-lesson journey, progress history, and on-device own-melody practice. Monthly and yearly plans are available, or choose Lifetime to pay once. Family Sharing is available for yearly and Lifetime access. Privacy is part of the product: your voice and imported singing are analyzed and stored on your device. Audio never leaves your phone. Grading is completed after each take, and uncertain audio receives no verdict rather than a false wrong note. The included song catalog contains only public-domain, traditional, or original material. Bring another melody into private practice by singing or humming it on device. Terms of Use (EULA): https://playsoloist.com/terms Privacy Policy: https://playsoloist.com/privacy

Verdict
GliderVerb and Soloist Singing are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
