Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Feedback Recorder at 56% against My Microphone's 12%. Feedback Recorder also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). My Microphone's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.6) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 10). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Feedback Recorder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and My Microphone sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
My Microphone holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Microphone has 1.7K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Feedback Recorder's written reviews are positive against 12% of My Microphone's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Feedback Recorder ships an update every 2 months, My Microphone every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
