GRIP is a one-touch survival game built around one rule: keep holding. Touch and hold to start. Drag to guide the glowing player through waves of neon obstacles. Let go for too long and the run ends. Slip for a moment and you get a short warning window to recover but the pressure never fully disappears. Near misses are the heart of GRIP. Squeeze through tight gaps, skim past danger and chain close calls to activate your shield. While shielded, you can knock obstacles away and buy precious seconds. Your score is simple: survival time. Every run is a fight to last one second longer than before. FEATURES • One-touch hold-to-survive gameplay • Smooth drag movement built for mobile • Dynamic lift-warning grace window • Near-miss shield rewards • Shield knockback moments • Survival-time scoring • Top-runs leaderboard GRIP is fast to understand, easy to restart and built for quick neon survival runs anytime, anywhere.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Square Siege at none against GRIP's shown. Square Siege also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). GRIP's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 49 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Square Siege against 5.0 for GRIP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Square Siege has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Square Siege ships an update every 49 months, GRIP fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
