Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: The Audio Converter at 4.6 against StrokeInput's 3.6. The Audio Converter also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 9). StrokeInput's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

The Audio Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Audio Converter has 14K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of The Audio Converter's written reviews are positive against 50% of StrokeInput's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

The Audio Converter ships an update every 2 months, StrokeInput every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
