Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: DPBOX at 96% against CameraKit's 66%. DPBOX also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). CameraKit's advantage is ratings volume (321 vs 4) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. CameraKit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and DPBOX sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
CameraKit holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CameraKit has 321 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of CameraKit's written reviews are positive against 96% of DPBOX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
CameraKit ships an update every 2 months, DPBOX every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
